Club Koa belongs to the USA Volleyball Southern California Southern Nevada (SCSN) region, which governs all club volleyball programs this area. Among other things, SCSN sets the tryout dates and the tournament schedules. You can find more info about SCSN on their website, www.usavolleyball.org/scsn

Club Koa Valley uses three practice locations: West Valley Christian Church, deToledo High School, and Magnolia Science Academy. WVCC and dTHS are both located in West Hills, while Magnolia is located in Reseda.Koa Crest practices at Crescenta Valley High School, Clark High School, and Rosemont Middle School. All three gyms are located in La Crescenta. Most teams practice twice a week, for 2 hours apiece. The highest level travel teams will often add a 3rd practice, especially in the first half of the season.

Tournaments begin in November and run until the end of June. Each team will play in about 10 local tournaments. Local tournaments take place on Saturdays or Sundays, and are most commonly held in Orange County or San Bernardino. Our most competitive teams also travel to Las Vegas, Salt Lake City, and Phoenix.

We have found that having 10-12 players on each team is an ideal amount, as it leads to maximum reps in practices, while minimizing the amount of girls on the sidelines in matches.

The fees for the entire 7 month season range from $3800-$4600, depending on the age group and team level. These fees includes all tournament fees, insurance coverage and administrative fees, gym rental for practices, stipends for both a head and assistant coach, and complete uniform package (2 custom jerseys, practice t-shirts, sweatpants/backpack, long sleeve shirt, and hoodie). The only item we do not cover in our fees is travel/lodging for tournaments.
